The ParticipaLab Network invites ICT Points to incorporate citizen participation services o_tecnica Wed, 06/08/2022 - 13:48

The Secretariat of Open Government is organizing the return of the participatory process of the ParticipaLab Network of Catalonia , which will take place on Thursday 16 June from 10.00 to 11.30 in room C of the Citilab in Cornellà de Llobregat. The session will be broadcast live on the Open Government YouTube channel.

The ParticipaLab Network is set up through the voluntary membership of facilities such as ICT Points, libraries and civic centers. That is why they are inviting the promoters of the ICT Point Network to attend the return ceremony of the participatory process that took place between September and December 2021 on Thursday 16 June from 10 am to 11.30 am .

During the event, the final report of this process will be presented , as well as the projects promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya in order to take advantage of local facilities, such as libraries, ICT points or casals and civic centers, to promote the citizen participation and social innovation. Un dels principals objectius d'aquest curs és donar eines per a aprendre, per un/a mateix/a, a moure's per Internet i interpretar la informació de manera crítica, per formular les pròpies opinions. D'aquesta manera arribar a ser gestors/es de la informació i no simples receptors/es.

Les persones participants són persones adultes que es troben en processos d'aprenentatge inicial. La majoria no han entrat mai a Internet, però tenen coneixements d'altres tipus, per això són les persones participants les que, a partir de coneixements previs, trien els temes centrals de les sessions, realitzen un aprenentatge instrumental de les TIC i generen un debat per analitzar críticament la informació i els mitjans de comunicació.

El funcionament del curs passa per diferents punts de manera progressiva. Primerament, hi ha un trencament de prejudicis i pors en relació a l'ús de l'ordinador; seguidament s'introdueixen aspectes claus de l'ús d'Internet, de la recerca d'informació i el seu posterior tractament (engegar l'ordinador; dominar el ratolí, obrir i tancar els programes, entrar a internet i al cercador, etc...). Tot això es practica conjuntament a través de la recerca d'informació sobre el tema escollit, la posterior discussió i posada en comú per compartir i debatre la informació. D'aquesta manera és com es podrà entendre l'alfabetització mediàtica com una pràctica transformadora.
