The awards are a benchmark in the recognition and dissemination of the role and talent of women in the technological field. They were born in 2015 and have submitted 621 candidacies in total . These awards have eight categories and two subcategories that are exclusive and each candidate can only be in one category. They are grouped into three areas: professional, academic and disclosure, and dissemination and related initiatives.
The 2022 edition awards will be presented on Monday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya , as part of Ada Lovelace Day , in recognition of who was the first programmer in history. Registrations are open.
Applications submitted in 2022
There are two categories that accumulate the most nominations: entrepreneurship , with fourteen; and the relevant initiatives , which add up to fifteen. The TIC student has twelve (six for the University subcategory and six for the VET subcategory) and the professional , eleven. As for the businesswoman and publicist , there are eight each. Finally, the academic/researcher accumulates seven, while the revelation has five.
This year's innovation will give special mentions and prizes thanks to the collaboration of entities linked to the ICT field, such as the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia or the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
A jury made up of professionals from the technological sector, from academia and from the business, institutional and associative world will evaluate the proposals and, accompanied by a technical committee, will choose a maximum of six semi-finalists per category. The honor committee will choose the three finalist nominations and the winner in each category.
