The second edition of the Open Data Week of the Baix Llobregat will focus on the importance of geolocated data, with activities to approximate the data open to citizens and companies. Organized by Citilab and the Open Data Barcelona Initiative, it will take place from May 15 to 17.
The Open Data Week of the Baix Llobregat will start with a day addressed to companies: Open Data Dissemination Day for companies. It will take place on Tuesday, May 15, from 9.30 a.m. to 15.45 a.m. It will begin with an inspirational talk on the economic activity based on geolocated data by Alberto Abella, expert in open data, will show business experiences based on the use of geolocated data and will end with a practical workshop on free tools to work with geolocated data, taught by the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia. The companies that want to participate must make the previous inscription.
Wednesday, May 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Data Display Conference will be held, where different professionals will share tricks and tools on analysis or visualization of data. It will be a marathon of shared knowledge in short pills of 20 minutes.
The days will end on Thursday, May 17, with a workshop on visualization of data based on geolocated data, which will be carried out by Elisa Vivas, journalist of Data in El Periódico. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m.
All activities will be carried out at Citilab. Registration required.
