The Higher Council of Scientific Research - CSIC , the Institution Milá i Fontanals and the Residence of Researchers organize a cycle on gender roles and contemporary culture every Monday in February.
Within the framework of the 'Science Monday' of the Research Residence, this cycle seeks to study how cultural industries maintain and destabilize women's stereotypes , and how these stereotyped images are intrinsically linked to the socio-political context of the time.
The conferences will be the following:
- February 3 - Heroines: Dictionary science fiction and narrative
- February 10 - Scientists: Russian naturalists, biologists and cosmonauts
- February 17: Princesses: Medieval Princesses and their Update on the New "Feminist" Disney
