The Viquitroada XII is an event organized annually with the aim that the community of people editors of Wikipedia in Catalan and their sister projects, as well as other people interested in free knowledge , can be gathered during some days of proximity and sociodigital debate .
This year, it will be held throughout the weekend of November 30 and December 1 in Cervera. The organization of the event will be carried out by Amical Wikimedia .
The program includes visits to spaces in the region of La Segarra, training workshops for new editors and trainers, digital tools such as Open Street Maps or Wikidata and papers on the operation of Vikipedia at the international level. You can check the entire program, here .
One of the central events of the meeting will be the Viquimarató de Cervera , which will take place on November 30, 2019 from 3:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Consell Comarcal de la Segarra, within the framework of the 2019 Viquitrobada organized by Amical Wikimedia and the Josep Finestres i Monsalvo Local Library.
One Viquimarató is an activity where a group of Wikipedians are physically located in a place - often a library - to extend as much as possible an article and / or subject matter of the encyclopedia.
