The round table "Wikipedia as a battlefield. Archives, genres and technology" will take place on March 9, at 6 pm, at the Espai Francesca Bonnemaison (C / Sant Pere Més Baix, 7, Barcelona). It will seek to put in context the ecosystem that surrounds Wikipedia, from a gender perspective.

The debate will be attended by Elisenda Ardèvol Piera, anthropologist and director of Mediaccions, UOC research group on culture and digital communication; Ester Bonet Solé, philologist and Catalan linguist and coordinator of Viquidones; Marta Delatte, digital memory expert and research director at Liquen Data Lab; Palomar Team, of cultural agitators; and Hj Darger, journalist and founder of Visual404. They will address the cycle of knowledge production in Wikipedia from different perspectives, such as the university, social activism or journalism.

The round table is organized by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and LiquenDataLab. These two organizations promote the day after the debate, Saturday March 10, the Edit-a-thon of art and feminism. They do so in collaboration with Visual404 and Mujeres y Música (MYM).

It is a one-day meeting to learn how to edit Wikipedia, create new articles and improve existing ones, with the aim of giving visibility to women, feminism and artists. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sala Apolo (C / Nou de la Rambla 113. Barcelona). This initiative is part of the international action Art + Feminism.
