Each year Technovation Challenge invites teams of children and adolescents around the world to learn and apply the skills that are necessary to solve real problems through technology. Over 12 weeks in Catalonia, 40 teams made up of five girls and one or two mentors have worked inspired challenges for sustainability UN: Poverty, Environment, Peace, Equality, Education and Health. This has been possible with the support of the Spiral Association , representing Technovation in Spain, with the support of the Government Catalonia (Department of Presidency, through the ICT Network Point).

A week from the end of the challenge-competition and before presenting their projects to a panel (face first and Virtual later) formed by women around the world, participants have the opportunity to present, evaluate and improve their projects hand of an expert exception: Linda Liukas , creator of Hello Ruby , the most imaginative way to learn about technology and computer programming, and founder of Rails Girls , a global initiative to teach the basics of programming for young women all the world.

During the morning of 20 April, 11 groups, formed by those aged between 10 and 14 years will have the opportunity to defend their projects and how to relate and how they respond to these six challenges urgent and real humanity faces today. Will have the opportunity to show what impact positive social environmental and economic provide. Linda will discuss what are their strengths, creative, innovative technological ideas and what magic can make this project a unique initiative.
